Tuesday, November 3 - 09:00 - 22:00

This is a conference track where CMS analysts, thinkers, practitioners, experts and vendors can meet, set the agenda for future industry developments, provide feedback and share thoughts and ideas in an inspiring setting.

We’ll hear about current topics like headless, performance, security and privacy, while also tackling business and content topics. As usual, you can also meet practitioners and hear case studies with a behind the scenes look at how they have approached CMS.

CMS add-ons - the good, the bad and the ugly

A CMS often finds itself right in the center of an organisations online presence, at a point where CMS addons that integrate to many other systems is a must. On top of that, almost all CMSs in the 'platform' category comes with a wide range of extensibility options, which in turn results in many addons, often both community contributed and commercial. In most cases this provides tremendous value to end users, but it can come at a high cost. Both for the vendors with regards to maintainability and backwards compatibility - but just as important to the users and the overall usability.

In this talk, Allan Thraen that has 15+ years of experience extending and integrating with content management systems - both as an architect, vendor product manager and latest independent consultant, will share his perspective, examples and anecdotes.

Many examples will be based on Episerver or Contentful, but viewed in a broader CMS context.

  • No-code/low-code

  • Headless or not

Keynote: Facilitating retrospectives that are worthwhile and engaging

Retrospectives are all about making your team better. Working with complex systems like teams of people, you know that it is an important part of the process to continually reflect on, adjust, and improve your work process.

Unfortunately, some retrospectives are facilitated in a way so that they are wasting time instead of being the rewarding learning process they should be. Aino has identified a number of antipatterns for retrospectives that often stand in the way of a good retrospective.

Join this keynote to learn how to overcome these with humour, activities, body language, psychology and tricks for online retrospectives.
